Current Version Information

The current version of the i2b2 software is a release candidate (1.7.09-RC1). A "release candidate" is a pre-release version of the i2b2 software that is made available to the i2b2 community prior to the official release of the i2b2 software. Release candidates should never be installed in a production environment.

This page contains additional information about the 1.7.09-RC1 candidate. In addition, you will find links to accessing relevant documentation and downloading the necessary software.

Release Summary

The first release candidate for the i2b2 on OMOP project includes the following features:

  • Ability to query multiple fact tables as specified by the CDM. This is a departure from the standard i2b2 star schema where you can only query one fact table (observation_fact).
  • A new parameter has been added to the crc.properties file. This parameter will "turn on" the ability to query multiple tables.
  • Installation scripts for both the Oracle and SQL Server databases. These scripts will create the i2b2 tables, views, and procedures to run the i2b2 on the OMOP Clinical Data Model (CDM).

In this initial release candidate the data package contains a limited set data; Only demographics and some diagnoses (ICD-9) are included. Additional i2b2 data related to OMOP's CMS SynPUF 1K data set will be made available in future releases.
