About Me (Mark Abajian)

Hello! This is Mark Abajian. I am an independent software consultant, currently a member of the i2b2/tranSMART Ontology Working Group. From 2018-2022 I was with Keck Medicine of USC (University of Southern California), where as sysadmin I onboarded our CTSA onto the ACT Network (ENACT) in 2019. I was also instrumental in testing ACT's COVID-19 Ontology in 2020. And in 2021 our team created a new ontology for Social and Environmental Determinants of Health (SEDoH); my colleagues and I also developed a GIS toolkit called "SEnDAE" for enhancing a site's patient data with publicly available SEDoH data, which we published in 2023.

My work in the i2b2 Confluence instance centers on drafting tutorial pages for the Ontology Working Group.
