Note: The UCSF conference call number expired this morning.  We will attempt to re-establish the use of that same number.  If we are unable to re-activate that number a new conference number will be sent out for next weeks meeting.

Unfortunately due to the last minute nature of this problem a number of people were unable to connect to the call this morning.  My apologies!

1)     We examined the database extensions to i2b2 required for the Ontology Mapper.   Our focus was on optimization of the resulting query syntax.

2)     We talked about some proposed optimizations proposed by Bill Grant (a consultant from Nautilus).

3)     Marco was able to offer a derivative design which looks very promising.  That design has been incorporated into the new database paper.

4)     Rob will update the new database paper and send it out to this group.
