Ontology Mapper Minutes

7/9/08

Present on call: Rob, Hillari, Paul, Davera, Prakash, Marco, John, Mark, Maggie, Liat, Ketty

We are now approaching 50% complete on our initial beta (scaled down) release.  The two most important summary tasks are completing the database design and physical java servlet design and completing the Lifecycle paper so that Hillari can use that as a basis for test script generation.

1) The mapping interpreter now supports both Aggregates and Archetypes.  Prakash is now working on integrating that new version with i2b2.  This is a major step forward as the interpreter now has coverage for all of the rule types that were listed in our grant application.  (The generation of architypes cannot be built upon previous archetypes however).

2) We talked about Ketty’s suggested changes to the Data Request UI.  Maggie was able to explain some issues related to that.  Ketty and Maggie will work together on this task later this week.

3) Existing Data Requests – we need tracking by User and tracking by all research projects.  Ketty and Maggie will work together to address this in the screen design.

4) The Criteria box will be changed to a pull-down menu

5) Davera asked about provenance information – a LOT of that information will be carried along with the mapping instance when they are shared.

6) Mark and John are working on the Clinical Environment use cases.

(real-time antibiotogram): Resistance to organisms mined by IDR – old process used paper books with records that were about a year old.  This new process would be more regional in scope and closer to real-time.

7) We walked through the Research.jpg and Researcher.jpg diagrams with Ketty.  We agreed that the researcher.jpg diagram needed a little work as it was somewhat confusing.

8) Davera asked about the researcher.jpg diagram as it relates to the generation of data for population based aggregates.

9) Later this week Ketty, Maggie and Rob need to work together to finalize the high level structure of the paper.  Based on that we should be able to estimate how many Use Cases would be needed and in which areas.

Okay, everyone.  That was a good meeting.   Rob
