Ontology Mapper Team Meeting Minutes

Present on call: Davera, Prakash, Marco, Mark, Ketty, Paul, Maggie, Liat and Hillari

New development: Ketty has started our first thread on the Ontology Mapper Google Group.  All conversations to date have been over our con-calls.  But please review that thread so that you can weigh in on it.

Items covered on the call:

• Davera provided us with a status on the CTS II (HL7) spec for the transmission of maps.
• Davera will post the CTS II spec later today.  The group should review that.

• Rob will provide a high level outline/vision document for our v1 (pre-grant) project.

Outline will cover:

1)     How are we integrated with i2b2 (cell)

2)     Where are terminologies stored and mapped

3)     Explain our layered approach

4)     Explain our two fact table approach

5)     No maps can be derived from other maps

6)     HL7 will transmit maps – not data

7)     1to1, 1toMany, Manyto1 mappings

• We covered the data serialization spec proposed by Prakash for the Ontology Mapper UI.  We agreed with his general approach.
• We talked about concept path associations that suggest concepts related to the current concept with full text descriptions which explain the associations.  Prakash and Davera are to follow up on this.
• Ketty will be reviewing the Data Request UI
• Maggie has provided a summary of the Clinical Research process in her doc – needs feedback.
• Maggie and Davera are starting to work together on the high level of Maggie’s paper.
• Ketty walked through her high level process diagram (a swim lane chart)
• Mark will help with our definition of the Clinical Practice workflow – (we will likely need to describe how prior treatments will drive future decisions).
