Query run with individual pt is returning 0 results on rerun

drag and drop a workplace folder containing an individual pt onto the query tool and run the query
After query run , drag and drop the previous query onto the querytool name box and rerun the query.
Expected result:query run should return 1 pt
Acutal result: query run is returning zero pts
