ORA-12505, TNS-listener does not currently know of SID give in connect descriptor.

OS and Java Server comes up ok, but Oracle is throwing out an error, ORA-12505, TNS-listener does not currently know of SID give in connect descriptor. The connection descriptor used by the client was: localhost:1521:XE.

Seems that there is a configuration error. This VM was built to run on a desktop using VMWare Workstation. The appliance had to be converted using VMWare Converter to run on VMWare vSphere ESX. There were no errors in the conversion.
