SQL Server: Issue with non-clustered index on temp tables

SQL Server temp tables included the temporal_start_date column even when the column is not used in the temporal query, which results in a database error.

Resolution:
Check for inclusion of the temporal start date before adding to the index. Also add a check for the end date so that can also be included in the index.
