i2b2 workbench (thick client) should display full results in the previous queries view

When expanding previous queries for patient counts in the workbench, the results are always 'Number of patients' without the actual count. When viewing the xml stack provided in debug mode, the information is available to the thick client, but it isn't expressed for the user to see.
