Hello Team,

What follows is a short recap of our meeting and short term goals:

Attending: Rob, Davera, Maggie, Marco

1) We have agreed as a group to go after the new RFA published yesterday.  It would offer us all enough money to hire a resource for the implementation phase of this project.

2) We have agreed as a group to continue working with the HL7 committee.  Basically we have an opportunity here to "stack the deck" in our favor by requesting a mapping protocol that is specifically tailored for our needs.  The standards work would also play well in our grant application process.

Tasks:

1) Davera and Marco will attend the next HL7 meeting on Thursday and start a relationship with that group.  Our goal is to provide them with specific requirements regarding information that needs to be transmitted in order to perform a mapping. 

Davera has pointed out that there are two Use Cases:

a) Standard formal mappings of Ontologies

b) Mappings of corrupted Ontologies, terminology translation and the other Rule types we have listed at the end of the design doc. 

Rob has suggested that our main goal in HL7 is to enlist the services of commercial Mapping Services over the internet.  These commercial services could then be subscribed to by our system just as local custom mappings. That might suggest that "Use Case a" is our highest priority.

2) Maggie will work on a proposed UI interface for the "Form" portion of the Life Cycle tracking feature.

3) Rob will work on a proposed UI interface for the "Data Request Tracking" portion of the Life Cycle feature.

Also, we have all agreed to meet weekly until we close out these high priority tasks.
