The i2b2 Webclient has five main components, and they are laid five main panels, laid out in the following manner.

Each component has its specific function. Click on the links below to view the details for each component.



  1. Query Tool

    The Query Tool is where queries Tool panel is where queries are constructed and run. Users can specify query criteria in the group panels.  Query criteria can be any terms contained in the ontologies in the Navigate/Find Terms section, as well as past queries or query results.

  2. Navigate/Find Terms

    The Navigate/Find Terms section Terms panel contains the ontologies (or vocabularies) of terms for constructing queries. You  Users can navigate through medical ontologies using the Navigate Terms panel, or search by text or code codes using the Find tab.

  3. Query Status

    The Query Status shows information panel shows information about the state of a query, such as if it is currently running, or, when it completes, the results.  The Query Report tab provides a textual representation of the query, while Graph Results displays various graphical representations of the results.

  4. Previous Queries

    Previously-run queries and their results are stored in the Previous Queries panel. You can  Users may re-use them by dragging them into groups in the Query Tool or save or save them by dragging them them into the Workplace panel. The most recently run queries are displayed at the top. You  Users can use the Find tab to search for a query you are interested inprior query they created.

  5. Workplace

    The Workplace panel stores useful information you may want to use or refer to later. You that can be referred to or used later. Users may store previously-run queries, patient sets, individual patients, and terms . You may create in this panel. Users can create folders to organize your organize the workplace. Your   The workplace is private by default (only you can read or modify what's in your workplace folder), but there is a SHARED folder that everyone has access to. You may use  Users can use the SHARED folder to share terms and queries with other colleagues.
