None of the versions of i2b2 are using the effected version of the Log4j 2.s vulnerability discovered at the end of 2021.
Recently some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Log4j 1.x, which is used by i2b2: https://www.petefreitag.com/item/926.cfm We have verified that i2b2 does not use any of the Log4J code with security flaws, but we still recommend the following patch to remove all Log4J code
