 Description
We are loading in LOINC-based metadata. In selecting one of the items in our load where there are many tests underneath (in our case 8780 tests underneath LOINC Class/Laboratory Categories/Chemistry non challenge tests) then the browser chugs along before display a dialog box with the message : "The number of terms that were returned exceeds the maximum number currently set at 500. Would you like to increase it to 2500 so you can try again?" So OK, try again. The next dialog box is the same message except for "currently set at 1000. Would you like to increase it to 5000." Screen shots are enclosed in the attachment.

Eventually, if you cycle enough, you'll the node opened. Is there a way to increase the default max number of cells retrieved?

This issue can be reproduced in the 1.7.01 version of i2b2. It will be evaluated by the i2b2 team for a fix to be included into version 1.7.02.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE (I2B2 DEMO DATA)

1. Log into the i2b2 Web Client.
2. In Navigate Terms, click on the Options icon to open the dialog window.
3. Change the Maximum Number of Children to Display to "5" (or some low number).
4. Save the changes
5. Expand the Diagnoses folder (or some folder with more than 5 items).
6. A message will appear saying:
"The number of items returned exceeds the maximum number currently set at 5. Would you like to increase it to 25 so you can try again?"

7. Click on OK to increase the maximum number to "25".
8. Expand the Diagnoses folder again.
9. Another message will appear saying:
"The number of items returned exceeds the maximum number currently set at 10. Would you like to increase it to 50 so you can try again?"

10. Click on OK to increase the maximum number to "50".
11. Expand the Diagnoses folder again.
12. Another message will appear saying:
"The number of items returned exceeds the maximum number currently set at 20. Would you like to increase it to 100 so you can try again?"

13. Click on OK to increase the maximum number to "100".
14. Expand the Diagnoses folder again. This time it will open without any maximum reached message.
15. Click on the Options icon to open the options window.
16. Notice the Maximum Number of Children to Display is set to "40".

It appears the message is saying it will increase it 5x the current number defined in the Options but in reality it is only doubling the number.
