i2b2 Core
Description
The i2b2 install guide strongly warns that default ports for JBoss are 9090 (http) and 8008 (ajp)
However, the standalone.xml file in jboss-as-7.1.1Final.zip from i2b2 has these hardcoded as 8080 and 8009 respectively
Please advise, thanks in advance!

The latest version of the i2b2 installation guide can be found on the i2b2 Community Wiki page. On 3/18/2014 the installation guide on the wiki was updated to correctly reflect that the recommended ports are 9090 and 9009.
The PDF version that is on the i2b2.org website has not been updated with the latest version. This issue will be used to track updating the PDF version. |

I think it is a valid assumption that most of us are dedicating a machine to i2b2, and therefore 8080 is not in use by some other app server. But if the i2b2 Dev team wants to stick with 9090 because it has been used so long, I suggest modifying section "2.4.2.1 Recommended Ports" in version 1.7.00.001 of the i2b2 Installation Guide. This section recommends 8080, but subsequent "Important" boxes and configuration in the same document assume 9090.
And if SHRINE came defaulting to whichever port is chosen, all the better...
